EXPRESS ENTRY

Overview- The Express Entry Program is an electronic pathway to Canadian immigration that began in January, 2015. It was introduced to encompass the three categories of Economic Class and populate the growing Canadian economy with highly skilled professionals from abroad.

The system of Express Entry has been designed in the way that

Federal Skilled Class, Federal Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class

falls collaboratively in the same pool and the candidates get picked up based on the merit points awarded through Age, Education, Experience, English Proficiency Skills and Adaptation factors.

It has also expedited the total process of Permanent Residence and made it more transparent to the candidates from all around the globe.

PROVINCIAL NOMINATION PROGRAMS (PNP)

The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) is another boulevard of Canadian Immigration that admits Canadian provinces and territories to nominate individuals based on their specific province of interest and intentions to settle in Canada.

There are 10 provinces and 3 territories in Canada and each of them has been given special jurisdictions to nominate the individuals based on their skills.

The PNP system also has the option to be linked to Express Entry and that also awards Express Entry candidate an additional 600 points in the profile linked to Express Entry System.

The provinces and territories below currently participate in the Provincial Nominee Program.


FAMILY SPONSORSHIP

Canada’s Immigration system is highly enriched in reuniting the families through different Sponsorship programs which includes the following streams

  • Spousal/Common Law Partner Sponsorship ‘In Canada Class’
  • Spousal/Common Law Partner Sponsorship from Outside Canada
  • Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship

SELF EMPLOYED CATEGORIES

Self Employed Category is also one of the Economic Immigration Class which provides the opportunity to self employed persons who have relevant experience in one of the following fields

  • Cultural activities
  • Athletics
  • Farm Management.

The key factor of this immigration to Canada category is the applicant must be able to prove him/her with the significant contribution to cultural activities or athletics or purchase and manage a farm in Canada.


QUEBEC SELECTED SKILLED WORKER CLASS

Quebec Skilled Worker Class is another category which gives the opportunity to applicants who intent to reside in Quebec and qualify for Permanent Resident Visas of Canada.

There are 2 different stages of Quebec Selected Skilled Worker:

  1. Apply to the Government of Quebec for a Quebec Selection Certificate (Certificat de sélection du Québec [CSQ]).
    • The Province of Quebec will assess you, using its own rules.
    • The certificate shows that the Province of Quebec has accepted you as an immigrant.
  2. If the Province of Quebec chooses you and gives you a CSQ, you must apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for permanent residence.
